Over the course of the past two weeks in ELA 6 we continued with our reading of Bud, Not Buddy written by Christopher Curtis, as well as many other fun activities! We are up to Chapter 11. Students took a test on chapters 1-11 today, 5/20/22. A study guide was handed out to students many days in advance and we reviewed the study guide on Thursday.
Last week we reviewed how readers make connections when reading, and the three different connection readers can make - personal connections, connections to other texts, or connections to world experiences.
Students took an ELA NYS field test this past Wednesday.
We continued our ongoing work with the iready, NewsELA, and Quill.org applications.
On Monday next week 5/23/22, students will take the final iready diagnostic exam in class.
The ELA 6 final exam will be June 16th at 9 a.m. It will encompass all of the material covered since the beginning of my tenure here at SJP2 in February.
